I like the pipe tuner, super-sized version. I think I´ve heard something similar somewhere before, unfortunately that type of pipe tuner will not fit in a viola case.

I find myself increasingly using Apps on my iPhone to check tuning, rather than standalone tuners or pitch-pipes.

If I could just find an App that will turn the pegs for me, too ...

Someone pointed out a great tuner app for me, better than any other app as of yet.

It's called "insTuner" the free version is called insTuner Lite

Give it a shot, you will like it.
