In an attempt to equal Fiddlerman.com Violaman has added a page called "VIDEOS".
This page will eventually fill with many how to videos and tutorials for viola. Two videos were added today for the basics of how to hold the viola and how to hold the bow. Stay posted for new videos very soon.

Would you consider making a video of all the scales played slowly, so I can hear what they SHOULD sound like?
When I play the common one-octave scales, I go by the fingerings and my limited ability to judge a whole versus half-step by ear, but unless I've got my chromatic tuner on (and it's painfully slow to respond to new notes), I really can't tell how far off each note is. If I had someone to play along with, I think I'd improve much more quickly.

So, did you change the strings on the CVA-600 then?
I didn't change the strings on any of the violas but I will do that. The one I used for this video was the CVN-500 and that is just cause I haven't put it away yet. I wanted to do a review of this instrument and haven't had the chance yet. Will be interesting to play it after changing the strings.[Image Can Not Be Found]
