When you play your fiddle tunes on the viola, are you playing the same NOTES as in the sheet music, or are you simply playing on the same (relative) strings - i.e. - 1st-

3rd, etc.

 

Just curious, since you've transitioned so quickly from fiddle to viola. I would still be picking out notes very slowly after changing clefs...duncecap

Im just playing them the same as I would on Violin as far as strings go. Some of these cross over well since some tunes like Will the circle be unbroken never uses the E anyway. Remember the Viola shares 3 of the same strings and as for reading alto clef its coming along nicely. Not all that different then read G clef
