This is one of the tunes That I will be doing on the fiddle for the 'International Talk Like A Pirate Day' project.

For that project I'll do it in 'Character' https://violaman.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif

I'm not happy with the sound coming out of the Viola. May have to play with that sound post again. That 'and' get the bow under control [Image Can Not Be Found] And the tempo [Image Can Not Be Found]

I'll agree, she sounds a little "closed up". But then you said you havent been playing her and they need to vibrate. I read an article once that said you should play any acoustic instrument loudly at least 10 minutes a day to vibrate the wood. Ive been doing that ever since and truely believe it helps.
Are those the new prelude strings ?

Bach : As the greatest expert and judge of harmony, he liked best to play the viola, with appropriate loudness and softness

@Barry Nelson Barry
Interesting about the 'need to vibrate'. Will keep playing :)

Good tips on playing daily to vibrate the strings. Those strings sound better than when I tried some preludes, I was not a big fan.. but that was on my old german violin.

The longer strings on a viola require a bit more pressure. That is one reason why viola bows are slightly heavier. Also, some viola rosins are stickier.
