I am Mouse, Violaman's forum's new Administrator. This forum has been rather idle for a short period, so I have volunteered to be administrator and get her up and active again.
The Viola is a wonderful, unique bowed string instrument. Let's explore it innthe forum for violists or those interested in violas.
If you play viola, please join us and share your expertise by answering questions, posting your experiences to share, etc. Or just chat in the Breakroom.
If you are learning, or thinking about learning, ask questions, post your successes (they may help others), post what did not work for you (they are learning experiences, too), answer questions you know the answers to, or answers that work for you, that would work for those unable to do it the traditional way.
What is your learning regimen? Do you take in person lessons? Online? Self-teaching? Maybe what you do and/or your experience can help others. Sometimes, it helps to write about it, re-enforces your own lessons.
Thinking of getting a viola? If you have questions, please ask. Share your experience finding one, etc.
If you are interested. or love (why wouldn't you) the viola, please feel free to join in. Ask questions about how to play it, join in with answers of your own with what you thing, share your ideas. Just because you do not play, does not mean you won't know answers, and you may learn why or why not your idea would work. Join in with why you love the viola or are interested. We would love to hear thoughts and ideas from non-players and players alike.
Check out the other forum group areas and join the conversation. If there is an older topic that interests you, please continue with a reply, it will move that topic up to the top and visible for more replies. If you want to start a new topic in that group, just select to start a new topic, give it a title, and start your conversation.
The forum will be slow at the get go. The more we post, the more it will draw new members and keep them interested. So, Please, if you have joined already, post yiur thoughts, ask your questions, etc. If you are viewing as a guest, join in.
Over the next weeks, hopefully few, I will be working on bringing it back. So please join in and make this the best forum for violists around.
