Choosing notes/double stops, knowing when to change.  Is there an easy way to understand short of a two semester college course?

I wonder if it is different, depending on if you are doing Fiddle tunes, classical or pop?

I am thinking that for Fiddle, since it seems to be a more free form, that it is done whenever you feel the need? But that is just a guess.

That is a good question.

Working on some double stops and even a triple stop here and there. Finally got someone to show me some starter chords. Hope to be jamming with a local bluegrass group soon

That's good! I'm working on double stops too. My fingers don't like them much!

I have not really delved into double stops yet. The couple times a liece required it on my cello, it was not too bad, but it felt like I was not ready. That was in a sing we were doing when I did lessons. I go back to it knce in a while.
