This isn't something you would be using to make a video or anything, just pretty much a tool to hear yourself play back. It is Voice Memo. It is an Apple App. I suspect any voice memo app would be useful fir this. It is quick and easy when you want feedback by hearing yourself.
I like this app. I have it on my phone. When I am learning a piece and am at a point where I want to hear what it sounds like, I can just open it up and press record. You can name the recording, You can make file folders. I have Viola, Cello and Violin. You can email them, text them, etc. They make a m4a file.
Just a tip for anyone who is learning a song, not wanting to make an actual video, just a recording to check on how you are doing.

Hey Mouse,
Thanks for the reminder. I remember trying to record myself with it in the beginning (years ago), and the result was just too horrible so I stopped. The main issue was my playing skills, of course. Later I moved to other ways of recording and forgot about the app.
I gave it another try lately, and you're right, it is an easy way to get instant feedback on how you're doing (I'm still bad at really listening to myself while playing). I just delete everything afterwards, which takes 2 seconds.
I delete them, too. But I can hear if I am keeling the right timing and am hitting the notes. It has a good quality sound to the recording, quick, easy to use. No real setting up is needed.
