Oh my gosh! That was funny! Whoever had that phone was lucky that the violist had a sense of humor.

That happens way too often with cell phones. Just recently, the Minnesota Orchestra did a concert and a phone rang in the middle of it. All of the musicians stopped playing until the phone was done ringing, then started the song over.

And there was a choir/orchestra/band concert at my school last week (I was in it

). Well, the choir director was telling the audience about the songs the choir was going to sing and then he said, "Please turn off your cell phones."

So then he gave the choir their pitch and raised his hand to start conducting... right when a phone rang. The choir director walked back to the microphone, found the person in the audience who had the phone, looked right at them and repeated, "Please turn off your cell phones."

Boy that person got the look of daggers from the choir director..
