The funny thing is that it is not the G-minor sonata anymore the way she plays it. LOL She is taking the violin part and playing it a fifth lower.

Maybe they all do that because it fits better with the chords and all.

Theoretically, any violinist can just pick up the viola and play any violin part one fifth lower as though the C string is the G string and play the same thing as if it were a violin. The only problem is that the key will be a fifth lower. Also the finger distances are slightly greater.
