Hi, I'm new to the forum and after some advice. I played viola at school up to about grade 3 standard. I haven't played in over 20 years but when my son recently started with violin I got out my viola and really fancy taking it up again. Since its been so long I cant really read music any more, but when I try it comes back very quickly. On the viola I am able to play a tune and a scale so I think I still have the basics.
Could anyone recommend some good music books? I don't think I want absolute beginners because I think I will move on fairly quickly. I do need something quite basic though to get me going again.
Hey Guys,
Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately, not much has been happening around here lately but that can hopefully change.
Here is a stab in the dark for some books, not knowing your level or interest.

The above suggestions may help others who are looking for music to get started or to add to their variety to keep things moving along.
Note: The second suggestion's link in Violaman's suggestion is no longer active. I suggest a search of the title.
The other options appear to be Amazon because it say a Kindle preview is not available, so an internet search of those titles should find them, if they are still available. I may update those posts at a later time.
