Hi All

Since starting the violin (and as of tomorrow the viola) I've only been using three left fingers. I've not been using the fourth because it's a bit of a reach for me and my left little finger strength is a bit low. If it had the same strength as the right one it would be OK

Are there any exercises that can help with this?

start on one string and work your way through all four with this exercise. Start on an open string and bow each note 0-4  and back. Use a electric tuner if needed to watch intonation.

Speed isnt the focus right now, you want to train that pinky.

Bach : As the greatest expert and judge of harmony, he liked best to play the viola, with appropriate loudness and softness

+1 to what Barry said. Reach with the viola will be even more of an issue than on the violin for you, but "getting there" will be worth it. I typically will play a fourth finger note rather than the next open string, just for the exercise to strengthen my pinky, as well as working on intonation.

It's a work in progress...
