So.. I have been considering changing my pink violin into a viola. This seems for me to be the best way to "try" viola without buying one just yet.

I know John (Ferret) and Ray (OctaveRay) have done this.

My question is, do you think this will give the "somewhat" experience of the true viola? Or not even close?

I was thinking of changing my PINK VSO violin. Would love to hear thoughts.

Get you some short scale Viola strings (for smaller Viola's) and go for it. Of course it wont be near and deep and warm as a full size viola, but it will give you a taste

Yes, the short scale strings is what they are called, they fit the violin
