There is something to be said about a cello. The cello has deep soulful sounds, but yet, in its upper registers on the A string, you can make it sing like a bird. Well, an actual cellist can, I am not there.

You don't just grab your cello, you hold it up to you and make it sing. I know of no other instrument that you hold so dear to your heart when playing. I love my viola and I love my violin, but I love to play and hold my cello. Each cello session begins with a hug.
