The CVA-400 comes with everything you need to get started. It's a beautiful instrument and produces a great sound right out of the box and normally costs under $160. If you are starting out on the viola you probably can't find a better sounding instrument for the same price. You can be the lucky winner of the fine instrument.

To be eligible to win this instrument you need to do three things:

  1. First share this post on facebook and share with as many friends as possible.
  2. Next LIKE this page. The link can be found on the top of the right hand sidebar
  3. Lastly, make at least 10 good relevant posts on the violaman forum.

More posts give you better eligibility and you may be entered more than once for a greater chanc to win. Note that your posts should be pertinent to the viola, string playing or music in some way. Also the must contain more than just a few words to be counted.

The drawing for the CVA-400 will be the first week of January. Stay tuned for details of the exact date.

I think it's interesting how very different the finish on my CVA-400 is from the advertised specifications.

The instrument you have there is clearly a matte finish, as advertised, while mine has a very high-gloss finish.

I'm interested in your other impressions of the CVA-400, as well. Obviously, out of the box it's capable of sounding very nice in the right hands wink, but what do you think of the overall build and quality of the viola, bow and accessories?

P.S. The smile on your face gives you away. I see a Violist in the making...laughwinklaugh

I have seen that video review several times and I got to say that instrument you have there is just fantastic, i cant get tired of hearing the sound that comes from there, but i was wondering if you have any picture of the high-gloss finish viola just to see the difference

I can take one next time I have the violas out. Hope I remember. Glad you like the sound of that instrument. I just can't believe that they are so inexpensive. What kind of Viola/Violin do you own Manny?

My violin doesn't have any layer that says its procedence but it was set up by a luthier when I was living in Canada, I bought it in a second hand store by a very rasonable price and it has a very good sound, it is not the best but it does the job

More importantly than facebook is that you share the link Pky. I would like to see this site spread and be used by as many violist as possible and this could help spread the word about the site.

Why aren't you allowed Scarecrow?

All you have to do Pky is to press the like button for the viola page on the top right hand side of violaman.com

As long as you have an account and can log in it will work. Then you just share the video by clicking on your profile and posting the url in that space that you have on the top for status and all.

This is the link that you must paste there.

I would love to see your name in the drawing. There are not that many qualified yet.

WOW!! I just watched the video--can't believe it sounds that good right out of the box! It tells you a lot about the quality of the instrument for sure!! I'll certainly be looking into getting one after graduation!
