Bach : As the greatest expert and judge of harmony, he liked best to play the viola, with appropriate loudness and softness

For any new members. I'd like to say the group projects are fun. Don't be shy. The music is posted for all levels. If you have questions on how to send or just any general questions, feel free to ask.

Thanks CPO. We need help recruiting players for this project. Only about a quarter of the recordings in our goal have come in. Please help spread the word. :)

My contribution should be ready soon VM. I can record on short notice. I just want to make it work for the project and have my best selection. So my contribution is as good as "in" ha ha.. but not quite. There is a bit of a problem that I haven't don't the other part required..but I am hoping I can do that on quick notice. :)

just saw this. I take a while to learn new pieces. As a newer violist, which part would you recommend? Have you received many submissions yet? excited to finally get a chance to participate... Oh and how do I use the click track? Do I play throughout the whole thing, only with music, only with the beat?

Thanks

I think there is plenty of time Ripton, I need to get started on it still myself. We may easily be the only two Violists on the project. As for which part you pick, try them out and find which one works best for you.

Don't feel rushed just yet but get on it as soon as possible. I'm shooting for 100 submissions and only have 24 for the moment.
Glad that you are interested in participating.
You must use the playback file in your ear (just for you to hear) while recording your part. There is no way to sync all the parts otherwise.
I recommend that you look at all the parts and play the one that suits your skills the best.

Hi Ripton. Will be great to have you join in. It always seems harder until you just try it. Good for you in wanting to join in... Hope to hear you play soon.
I play violin and I am here learning viola so that when I GET one, I will be all ready, set go. :)

My sight reading skills are not quite up to par. An issue I continue to work on with my instructor. I hope to work out Viola parts 1 & 3. Any chance you can post a demo for me to work with. I will not see my instructor for another two months. Thanks

I am a violinist Ripton.

I am not a pro at this particular Clef but I could help decipher a part by letter name for you if needed..not sure if that helps much.

:)
Cheers

I probably should have made the demos for all four parts but I haven't gotten around to it yet. If I do it, I'll begin on the violin. You could always follow that video as well. It's not much different than the viola. :)
