I am trying to come up with some non-classical and non-fiddle songs that would be great on a viola or cello. Basically, not violin pieces. Pieces that really need the soulful viola and cello sound. Maybe they would sound ok on violin, but maybe the lower registers and depth of the viola and cello would serve them better. Have a suggestion? Have a link to a performance of it (even if performed on a violin), a place to acquire the sheet music (legally, of course)? Include that info if you have it. Add a comment below.

MEMORY from Cats
I am trying to learn Memory from Cats. I I have been trying to do it on my violin. It isn't really great, needs work. But, I am really thinking that if it this was done on the viola it would be entirely different and maybe more dreamy and wishful? I love Betty Buckley's performance in Cats, but I think I should try it on viola.
