Hi All
As the title of the post says, "I've got a plan", but I need some help.
Part one of the plan is to learn The Skye Boat Song on the fiddle. No problems there. Its done.
The second part is where I need some help. I want to accompany on the viola. Nothing too complicated as I'm new to the viola. Any help or suggestions would be great.
If successful I will combine the two in a video for my 1st year anniversary in March of starting to play the Fiddle.
I may be able to muddle through it myself but any help would be greatly appreciated.

well John, is it that you want someone to play the Viola while you play another instrument? Is it that you want someone to play another instrument while you play the viola? Or do you just want someone to play the song with you?

Hi Dennis
I want to play 'both' pieces. The tune on the violin and the backing on the viola. In other words, I want to play a violin viola duet.
I can play The Skye Boat Song on the violin already. What I need now is the viola part.
Any ideas or other help is very welcome.

John, Did you transpose the Treble clef to Alto and have you tried playing it yet? If so how does it sound. Have you played against a recording of you on the violin with the melody? Will you eventually post vid or audio of the final product?
-Dennis
I haven't done that all of that yet. As I said, it's a project for 1 year of learning the fiddle.
I have about 2 months to get things sorted. And yes, the final product will be posted.
