I received my Fiddlerman Carbon Fiber Viola Bow this weekend. It was leaning against my door on the front porch when I arrived home from my day at the dojo on Saturday.
Cleverly wrapped and packaged in a piece of PVC pipe, I doubt even the USPS could damage it in transport, were they so inclined. It is an ebony-black beauty, and light as a feather. Without actually laying them side to side, the bow seems to have a wider band of hairs than the Cecilio bow I've been using. This is bound to help me get better tone from my cheap, steel strings. I can't wait to rosin it up and try it out.
Thanks, Pierre/Fiddlerman/Violaman/Fiddlershop.com!

Why are people downgrading themselves all the time? Be proud of what you can do and look forward to getting better!
Makes me sad when I read people posting audio or video and right away saying it is bad or sorry to ruin your ears etc. We all do it the first time then just be proud of yourself! You're playing an instrument many will never attempt
Would love to hear audio or see video of both bows HC!

Did you ever do the video, HC? I'm kinda interested in the carbon fiber bow too.
I did, more or less. By the time I got around to it, I had two violas to play with, so that was really the point of the video.

It certainly wasn't my playing ability...
