The original of this one is lovely, but the arrangement for two violas that I'm attempting here may not be to everyone's taste. I'm not even sure, just yet, that it's entirely to my taste. The phrase 'hacking up Sibelius' comes to mind, and I admit that's partly because somebody said it--apparently tongue in cheek, but it still makes me slightly twitchy about the whole idea.
The second viola part lays the double-stops on pretty thick. While I think it's a bit tricky in places, it's physically feasible and IMHO fattens things up somewhat. Still, I anticipate making some changes to this one as I get more familiar with it. In light of that likelihood, if anyone here has any suggestions regarding potentially better-sounding or more efficient approaches then I'm definitely paying attention.
