I learn a lot of great tunes with the Viola, but when I jam with other fiddlers I find it hard to change everything back up a fifth so I can be in harmony with the other players. I'm looking for any resources that will help me be able to jam by playing comp. (Comping) Any suggestions?

I don't have any resources to recommend for this purpose but have you tried playing to music of your choice from recordings or the radio? Etc.

It's great practice and you don't have to use an advanced approach. You can start simple with base notes and basic rhythms.
