In an attempt to equal Fiddlerman.com Violaman has added a page called "VIDEOS".
This page will eventually fill with many how to videos and tutorials for viola. Two videos were added today for the basics of how to hold the viola and how to hold the bow. Stay posted for new videos very soon.

Can we make requests? beg

Would you consider making a video of all the scales played slowly, so I can hear what they SHOULD sound like?

When I play the common one-octave scales, I go by the fingerings and my limited ability to judge a whole versus half-step by ear, but unless I've got my chromatic tuner on (and it's painfully slow to respond to new notes), I really can't tell how far off each note is. If I had someone to play along with, I think I'd improve much more quickly.

Sounds like a good idea, for those new to this instrument there are always adaptations to be made.

I didn't change the strings on any of the violas but I will do that. The one I used for this video was the CVN-500 and that is just cause I haven't put it away yet. I wanted to do a review of this instrument and haven't had the chance yet. Will be interesting to play it after changing the strings. beg

I hope this helps, I checked it against my Korg and it is spot on.
