As the new Admin, Id like to know what kind of things you'd like to see here on Violaman.com . I really want to make this the go to forum for violists of all levels.

With your help we can build this into something that Violists have never had. A true forum/site dedicated to Viola and not just a sub group on some violin site.

I suggest it needs a continuous ongoing flow of interesting postings on a daily basis, which encourages people to keep coming back frequently to keep up with the messages.

A drip feed of news regularly may be more sustainable than ten postings (say) all in one day.

The problem is in numbers. the ratio of Violinists to Violists is way out of balance and many Violists are Violinists that just happen to play Viola on occasion. I fear its a failed experiment. Ive talked to a few "real" Violists and it seems they would rather hang out at Violin sites and Classical music sites.
I could post all day every day and if only 2 people read it, why bother. Im beginning to think it would be better if Pierre just made a section for Viola discussion on fiddlerman , closed this forum but leaves the Violaman site up for learning purposes and just links the fiddlerman forum to it.

I mostly agree with that.
I think more than two people read your messages, but most members of online forums do not take the trouble or the time to write anything back. They even do not bid (sic) in writing on auctions (sic) of $45 million (sic) violas.
I hope the viola tuner feature remains accessible, I like the organ.

I know that you are right Donald. There is even a place that I can see how many times a post has been seen, or at least the topic. :)

The biggest issue is how to bring in new people. Lots of violin starters out there, not so many violists
